I don't really understand.?

I was in the park today and I was sitting on my bench that I carved my
name on and I was feeding and petting and having the ducks of the pond
nibble on my pinkey toe when a guy comes up and sits next to me. I
told him to go away but he grabbed me and we got in a fist fight. The
ducks swam away and I go there every day to check on them but they are
never there. What happened? They were my only friends I could count
on. I need help.
